[gr. Χίμαιρα : hybrid creature in greek mythology, combining bodyparts of more than one species in one]

Quimera is a series of handmade jewelry and accessories, created and crafted in the Berlin Atelier by Emma France since 2010.

Inspiration behind this project comes from discoverings during travels, on fleamarkets and bazars which brought up the idea to breath new life into this forgotten objects.

According to the project title the items are designed as hybrids, combining as different materials as wood and plastic, cable and antique buttons, lovingly put together to create unique pieces.

The series includes bracelets, necklaces, brooches and earings designed as small scale sculptures with a high level of detail. The objects can be considered as art that can be worn.
